Standard 45545-2: a safety standard in the railway sector
EN 45545 is a European railway standard published in 2013 to harmonise the various train management systems, including fire and smoke standards. It applies to manufacturers of rail vehicles, including trains, trams and metros.
The EN45545-2 standard defines the most stringent requirements for the fire behaviour of materials and components in railway vehicles. Our accessories have been subjected to strict and accurate testing for flame spread, flammability, heat release, smoke opacity and toxicity to ensure compliance with EN 45545-2.
